Ginormosia is the most significant and most varied area in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. With its expansive terrain, contrasting biomes, and dense environmental diversity, the area is at the heart of both the narrative path and the wider discovery experience. Players will ride across sandy deserts, green plains, high plateaus, and beyond as they explore secrets strewn across this land.

The major attraction of every region in Ginormosia is the Googlancia Tower. These towers are points of reference—once energised, they display the complete map of the region on the player’s tablet. This feature is most important for navigation purposes, particularly where there are curving roads, altitude variations, and treasures hiding in secret locations. The map assists players in finding resources, monsters, NPCs, and topographical features, so discovering and activating each tower is always a priority goal when exploring.

Location of the Shrines in Ginormosia

West Dryridge Desert Shrine Location

The West Dryridge Desert is generally the first area that players will venture through in Ginormosia. Among the early story development, a number of landmarks and areas—including the region’s only Shrine, Jo’ee Shrine—are available to access. This Shrine exists in the southeastern area of the desert, along the edge of the East Dryridge Desert. It’s not too difficult to access once unlocked via the story. It’s an introductory experience to Shrine gameplay mechanics, so it’s the perfect first step for those just starting in Shrine-hunting.

East Dryridge Desert Shrine Location

The Sed’nas Shrine is quite challenging and daunting near the border in the East Dryridge Desert. You need to move to the southernmost part of the region, and just before the shoreline approaches, look above to find a tall cliff where this shrine can be found. Since it is located in such a location, you need to climb up the mountain on foot, and there, the shrine can be seen placed vertically.

South Greatgut Plains Shrine Locations

Travelling inland, the South Greatgut Plains offer an open and diverse geography, with two Shrines: Fan’ni Shrine and Be’ranh Shrine.

The Fan’ni Shrine can be found in the region’s eastern half, about halfway between the nearby ocean and the eastern edge of the region. It is situated atop the tallest cliff in the region, so you cannot see it until you approach quite closely, making it a prominent, invisible landmark. This Shrine tests you to notice vertical landmarks and take side roads to access otherwise out-of-reach areas.

The Be’ranh Shrine is located to the west of Fan’ni, close to a peaceful bay. Nevertheless, it’s hidden behind the cliffs surrounding it, making it hard for most vantage points to see where it is. You might have to come from various angles and levels in order to locate the secret route that will take you there.

Viridia Plateau Shrine Locations

To the northeast is the Viridia Plateau, a more forested and hilly landscape. This area contains two Shrines, Sker’ri Shrine and Angar Shrine.

These two places are virtually opposite one another on a straight line, with Sker’ri being on the west and Angar being at the very eastern tip close to the bay. Sker’ri Shrine is located just about where Viridia Plateau, East Dryridge Desert, and South Greatgut Plains meet. It is, however, encircled with dense, impenetrable forest. To access it, players must first completely enter the Plateau, then walk around the forest and find a thin, secret path leading to the Shrine area. This is a more challenging exploration challenge than the previous Shrines.

At the other end, Angar Shrine is located on the edge of desert cliffs near the Viridia Googlancia Tower. The relatively short distance from the tower makes it easier to locate once you’ve activated the area’s map.

West Greatgut Plains Shrine Location

Heading north from South Greatgut Plains, players arrive at West Greatgut Plains, a region marked by a grand and mysterious castle at its centre. A magical force seals this castle and can only be accessed once all of Ginormosia’s Shrines have been completed. Just outside the castle, to the north along the edge of Crickneck Canyon, is Eeg’ah Shrine. This Shrine is slightly easier to locate but is very important in opening up the castle, so it is one players will want to prioritise for those seeking 100% or endgame material.

East Greatgut Plains Shrine Location

Moving further east leads you to the East Greatgut Plains and the last Shrine there: Besh’fal Shrine. Go southeast from Eeg’ah Shrine to access it. Along the journey, you’ll cross a body of water with scattered islets around it, which serve as a natural reference point. The Shrine lies on desert cliffs, just past these isles. Its raised position and geography make for a befitting last challenge in the overall adventure across Ginormosia.

Pettlewing Wood Shrine Location

Of all the shrines in Ginormosia, the shrine that lies secreted in Pettlewing Wood is the most difficult to find. Unlike nearly all of them, this shrine is not viewable in the open world—it’s hidden within a mystical maze far deep in the forest. To get started, go towards the gateway to Pettlewing Wood, which is on the map, and enter the forest. Once within, you need to travel along its curvaceous pathways until you find a specific location, marked by a faint landmark or second map image marker, which takes you into the puzzle maze.

The maze might already be known to you if you have made it far enough in the main campaign. It’s a set of rooms, each with several routes available. There is only one door per room that leads you in the right direction; the rest reset your progress. White fade on screen means you made a wrong turn, which brings you back to the beginning chamber. Black fade, however, means you took the correct route, and you are free to continue. The proper order through the maze is: Left, followed by Right, then Left. If you do it right, you will end up in the fourth and last room, where the shrine can be found.

Shroomhaven Shrine Location

The Shroomhaven shrine is not too difficult to find, but it is situated off the mainland, on a small island south of the mainland. To get to it, swim east from the Pettlewing Wood entrance and swim across the water. You can see the shrine from a distance, situated on the isle. For others who have already unlocked the Shroomhaven Googlancia Tower, the shrine becomes more convenient since it offers quicker access and superior visibility over the terrain.

Wingtip Valley Shrine Locations

Wingtip Valley contains two shrines, both situated in the northeastern quadrant of the map.

The first, Gela ’shi Shrine, is found near the northern bay, right by the border with Moltana Wastes. If you’re travelling from East Greatgut Plains, simply follow the main northern route; the shrine will be on your path as you approach the border.

The second shrine, Ree’lif Shrine, is located even further northeast and is one of the easiest to discover. You’ll find it in the corner of the region, perched in a relatively open area that’s difficult to miss. Its accessibility makes it an ideal stop during shrine runs or completion sweeps.

Moltana’s Wastes Shrine Location

Moltana Wastes has a mountainous centre with rings of lava around it, so the ground is visually unique and hazardous. Even though the area does look menacing, the one shrine in the region, War’yu Shrine, does not involve climbing. It sits on the southeastern base of the mountain, close to the border along Wingtip Valley. Being close to the outer rim of the region, it is relatively easy to access without having to go through the molten middle region.

Scorchrock Mountains Shrine Location

West of Moltana Wastes is the dry and dramatic scenery of the Scorchrock Mountains. They feature a sole shrine located at the remote western tip, where the cliffs give way to the sea. The shrine is an exposed and solitary spot hit by the sea breeze and far away from notable landmarks, making it a peaceful but isolated place.

Crickneck Canyon Shrine Locations

Carrying south from Scorchrock Mountains and crossing water leads to Crickneck Canyon, a rocky area divided by waterways and edged by high ridges. It has two shrines.

The first, Dahl Shrine, is located centrally in the area, west of a huge inland bay. It is located close to the water’s edge and is edged by a network of pathways.

The second shrine, Faan Shrine, is located to the south, in a more peaceful grassy plain surrounded by desert cliffs. To get there, travel southeast from Dahl Shrine, following twisting trails until you reach the more open field where it lies. The lush grass amidst rocky surroundings makes this one of the prettier shrine locations.

Fangshore Isles Shrine Location

Outside the sea west of Western Greatgut Plains, there is a chain of connected islands called the Fangshore Isles. Dispersed in the waves, these are swim-or-mount accessible. The shrine here, War’ii Shrine, is southwest of the Isles, on a waterway between Fangshore Isles and Drakesnout Range. To get to it, you need to do some naval travelling but are rewarded with a peaceful, oceanic scenery.

Drakesnout Range Shrine Location

West of the Warrii Shrine is the rocky and hilly country of Drakesnout Range, which harbours the Thril’ah Shrine. The shrine is situated close to the western bay of the area. Players have to scale a set of desert cliffs rising abruptly from the lowland to access it. At the summit, the terrain becomes flat as a small grassy field upon which the shrine sits. The far-flung location and high elevation impart to it an aura of desolation and dignity.

Drakeseye Valley Shrine Locations

Lastly, Drake’s Valley is the finale of shrine finding throughout Ginormosia. It includes the final two shrines required to add to your collection.

The first, Bit’ah Shrine, is at the northern end of the area. It’s close and a great place to start or finish for players travelling through the valley.

The second shrine, the Happi Shrine, lies along the eastern rim of the valley, gazing out over the Fangshore Isles. Perched on a chain of desert cliffs, it offers a sweeping panorama of the waters and islands around it. The ascent to it may be steep, but it is well worth it for one of the most scenic views in the game.
